Embodying micro-architecture

We create open spaces that herald a new bedding generation: the design concept, the spatial and temporal dimensions are fundamentally different. Brussels designer Alain Berteau thought about how this trend could be grafted onto our high-quality, harmonious Magnitude sleeping interiors. NEST embodies this micro-architecture with an eye for sleeping and living comfort.

A safe place with an intuitive nature

Two modules around the basic double bed create an imaginary circle. A closed NEST where simple design inspires confidence, so to speak. It feels good and offers a safe place in which to curl up for hours.

The intuitive nature provides all the space needed for freer, more creative and spontaneous set-ups. Nothing reminds you of the classic head or foot end. This creates an exceptional feeling of freedom where you can nest wherever you want.

About Alain Berteau

A Brussels-based architect, product designer and teacher at the renowned 'CAD Design School' who was born in 1971 in Brussels. His work is marked by his analytical and innovative mind. Alain Berteau distinguishes himself by his critical questioning. Everything flows, nothing stays the same. And that is exactly what he wants to respond to. He analyses evolutions, anticipates the future and creates ground-breaking solutions.

He looks beyond today. How is life and living evolving? How will existing typologies change? The prime example is the evolution of the bed that is used practically 24/7. Sleeping furniture is clearly in need of a new characterisation. His answer? The NEST.
