Extend the life of your mattress: rotate and flip it for a better night’s sleep

Mattress maintenance

The importance of flipping your mattress

A properly maintained mattress is important for a good night's sleep. At Magnitude, we handcraft all our mattresses with care and craftsmanship, and they're reversible too. By regularly rotating and flipping your mattress, the different zones can recover. That way, you prevent localised wear, you preserve the original comfort and considerably extend the life of your mattress.

What exactly is rotating?

Rotating simply means turning your mattress 180 degrees without flipping it over. So after rotating, your head will be where your feet were before. Rotating your mattress evenly distributes its inner structure, preventing dents and sagging.

And how does flipping work?

By flipping, you turn the mattress over so that the underside is now on top. You do this by first turning it across the width of the bed and then tilting it lengthwise. After flipping, you can immediately rotate for optimal results. These steps are simple, yet beneficial in the long term.

When should you rotate and flip your mattress?

A good time to rotate and flip your mattress is at the beginning of each season. Do it at least every three months. This regular alternation of mattress zones provides better support, ventilation, and hygiene.
